Review ON: iButteryfly Asia - Philippines

This summer SM Supermalls and SM Cyberzone is returning the iButterfly promo for people who have Android Smartphone’s and iOS devices (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad’s).


iButterfly is a mobile app for Android and iOS devices, it's Augmented Reality, for seeing the iButterflies in the real world, Motion Sensors for catching iButterflies using your phone and your phone’s Global Positioning System or GPS for finding where the iButterflies are.


for iOS app this is only available on Philippine AppStore, the objective of the app is to capture specially designed butterfly with a corresponding discounts or promotions that you can exchange in participating establishments in SM Supermalls.


The app is easy to use, when you are in one on these SM Supermalls SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, SM City Fairview, SM Southmall, SM City Baguio, SM City Davao and SM City Cebu.

How to USE:

One you have the app running it will it will detect your location then you can click on the "catch" button and start catching butterflies.

Once you catch a butterfly this will be saved on your "collection" and you can later browse on your collection and get the full information of every item you got.

You can start catching these virtual butterflies, and start collecting discount vouchers and other cool prizes that you can exchange.

TIP: you don’t have to put your Smartphone all the way up to catch those butterflies, just keep it steady and when you the word “searching” disappear on screen expect butterflies to appear

  2. I wasn't able to catch the event for bloggers but we went there with my family and I was able to get hold of the app... I really find it entertaining. It's just like a game. plus, you get to win prizes!! Totally cool! :D

  4. I was at SM Southmall a while ago to try the app but sad to say the application kept on timing out since the wifi signal devoted solely to iButterfly patrons kept on fluctuating.
