Mozilla Firefox Flicks Global Video Competition 2013

Do love taking videos on your smartphones and digital cameras! What if I tell you that you can use that talent in creating a masterpiece and get a chance to win some cold $$$ cash!!!! Yes you've read it right the price is $5,000. 


That did get your attention right! well read on to know how to join on this Firefox Flicks contest.
The contest is open to the entire Mozilla community, users, fans, creators, filmmakers and animators everywhere and worldwide. Starting February 13, you can submit a Flick that is 60 seconds or less that will be used in online and broadcast media campaigns.

What are the requirements?
  • Yes, there are some. You'll be able to find a full list under Work Criteria in the Rules (coming soon), but here is a summary:
  • Your flick must meet the requirements of the creative brief
  • Your flick must be submitted under a Creative Commons - NonCommercial-ShareAlike license
  • Your flick must be original
  • Non-English flicks must have subtitles or include a written English translation
  • Your flick must be submitted to the Flicks site
  • Your flick must contain an accurate description
  • Anyone that is not listed as a team member must sign a waiver granting you permission to film them
  • Please keep it clean
What is Firefox Flicks?
Firefox Flicks is an international film competition that invites Firefox fans and filmmakers to create short videos (or "flicks") to help tell the world about the power of mobile.


Prizes for winners include:
Early Entry Awards — There will be multiple chances to win $1,000 for submitting a flick early. The top three early entry submission Flicks will be included in the final round.
Regional Winners — One winner from each contest region (North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia) will win a $5,000 cash prize and one runner up from each contest region will win a $2,500 cash prize.
People’s Choice Award — People will be able to vote for their favorite Flick during the People’s Choice Award voting period August 1 – August 31. The three winning Flicks will receive a Firefox Flicks swag bag.
