DRIODZ Drive specs aren’t that really mind-blowing, but it’s a killer deal considering the low price of Php3,999. It's body is plastic made, the back of the device is where the 2MP camera, speaker, reset hole and the slot for TF card (microSD) and a regular SIM card is located.

On the right side of the DRIODZ Drive is where the switch button, charging connector, micro USB connector (for USB On-the-go), 3.5mm headphone jack, volume control and microphone.

The charging port for this device is similar to the one's that Nokia Phones uses, the main function of the micro-USB port is for the UTG cable, this good since you can charge it and use micro-USB port at the same time.

The not so good, you will need to bring another charger with you if you have this device, since most of the new smartphones now support micro-USB charging.

Since this device have phone functionality you might want to use the wired headset or get a Bluetooth headset to use it when making calls.

DRIODZ Drive 7-inch WVGA (800x480) screen is good enough to use it to play some games like candy crush, angry bids but not those games that require high graphics and processing power, watching movies is also good enough with an advantage of the 7-inch screen.

Note: Better invest on a screen protector since the screen is not scratch resistant.

Performance and Wireless Connectivity
The DRIODZ Drive scores 3342 on AnTuTu Benchmark, that's a bit low compared to other brands, but that does not mean that this device is not worth it.

I tried the UTG cable included and plug a 32GB USB Flash disk, it read the contents without any problem, I was able to watch some high resolution movies using VLC player.

For connectivity, you can connect to the Internet via Wi-Fi, not only that you can also use a 3G USB Dongle if Wi-fi is not available in your area, you can check the list of supported USB Dongle at 3G Support List, this can be found in the Settings of the Device.

The Phone and Messaging application is the default Android app with no extra function included and it works well. Advantage of having a 7-inch screen is how easy to read your messages and be able to compose a reply.

So! Would you but the DRIODZ Drive?
I would buy this, because not only of the price but with it's 7-inch screen sure it does not support 1080p resolution but it does the job done.
The 512MB of RAM is a bit small, so this might limit the apps you can install but the OTG capability is nice since you don't need to transfer your media files to enjoy it.

If your looking for a device with smaller screen that can fit your hand, you might want to check Torque DRIODZ Force, it's a 4-inch Android Smartphone

  1. At P3,999, this Droiz tablet by Toque really is a value-for-money gadget! =)

  2. wow it is affordable.. i am not thinking of getting a tablet by Torque

    1. Good for you! let us know your experience with it

  3. I think this gadget is really value for money for that kind of specs but I wont mind adding extra pesos if they can increase the memory and update the Android version to Jelly bean.

    1. if you want something powerful there other brands to choose from. You might also want to check out the Asus Fonepad:

  4. It's nice that Torque is offering a good alternative for tablets.

  5. Its not a go get em for me..
For an almost 4K, i'd rather buy myself a new wrist watch.
I'm not really big on tablets, they're big and inconvenient..
I did own one though, and it stays at home..
SO this one can probably do the same.
I wonder if it can read lash players, I like reading manga comics at home,
so this one might be just what I needed for it.

  6. An inexpensive alternative :) the specs seems good. Will check now in an online store- ok to na pang gift

  7. A good option for Android users and this tab really gives run of our money.

  8. This phone is a good deal... It's even cheaper than my CMF****! Those who still have no smartphone can try this one for a start.

  9. Love hearing about possible options to the expensive tablet, been mulling about my children's requests for one.

  10. i bought one for my sister as a gift and she liked it kaso nung minsan nabagsak wala na.. the battery dont stay long too..

  11. Hmm, I might check it out, sounds like a good gift idea for my child's birthday. Thanks for the tip!

  12. I like the white color, looks like just a game boy. My son will gonna like it.

  13. I have to admit that I'm not really updated with gadgets. I prefer using an iPad but this one is indeed a great alternative :)

  14. very nice gadget!! i bought my daughter one as well but its called something which I cannot remmeber but sure it is something like this as well!

  15. Design looks sleek and its kinda affordable. For sure many Filipinos can afford to buy this gadget.

  16. This one is affordable. How about the touch? Is it easy to navigate with your fingers? Or is it like the other tablets (dotdot screen not touch screen).

    1. the touch is responsive, but just make sure don't install too much apps because it tends to slowdown on performance

  17. I am not a tablet person....I love my keypads...hahaha. I do have a Samsung touch phone and lt me just say, I am annoyed with can you imagine if I had a tablet too...???

  18. when we were looking for a cheap tablet, this was on our list.. eng ending, we bought a cherry mobile tablet instead, same price but better specs

    1. That's what good about with today's Android tablets, there are a lot of them to choose from

  19. This is g good catch if you're on a tight budget. How long does the battery last? Battery life is usually the downside of this kind of tablet..

  20. Good AM/PM, sir/mam, pwede ko ba e upgrade yung OS ng torque droidz drive sa jelly bean android 4.3? please reply asap

  21. Thanks for review, it was excellent and very informative.
