Gionee is one of the successful Chinese manufacturer of gadget, recently launched their latest smartphone offering the ELIFE E6. They too have an affordable smartphone like the Pioneer P2 that is powered by 1.3 GHz dual core processor.
The Pioneer P2 have a 4-inch TFT touch screen and support standard size SIM cards. So lets get on with the unboxing, better read on...

The Packaging
The Pioneer P2 comes in bright Red box, the back side is where the detailed technical specs. of the device.

Battery capacity is 1700mAh Li-ion Polymer 3.7V that is a decent battery capacity this would make the P2 last more than a day on a full charge with normal use.

Standard accessories includes the USB cable (for charging and syncing), earphones (with mic and a button for answering and ending calls) and the power adapter.

Gionee is generous enough to include some accessories like the this plastic rubber case (jelly case) and screen protector. Now that's an extra savings already.

Removing the back cover of the P2 takes a little force, just run your finger on its lids and your good to go, it also helps when you have long fingernails though.
The two SIM slots and the micro-SD card slots, its pretty much standard nowadays for smartphones to have Dual-SIM support.
P2 boots-up on a themed Android 4.2, I'm not a fan of these fancy themes so its a good thing there is an option to turn it off and use the stock Android original theme. Below is a shots side by side between Poineer P2 and HTC 8S. The 4-inch 480 x 800 pixels looks good and comparable to other brands of phone with the same screen size.

Conclusion
The Gionee Pioneer P2 looks and feel a solid smartphone, some of the plus factor are the battery capacity which is far better than Cherry Mobile Flare 2.0. Also the included jelly case and screen protector and the bright screen and most of all its an affordable smartphone at the price of less than 5K for a Dual-core with 4-inch screen a good deal.

Watch out soon for the performance review of P2 as I will make this as my main phone and share my experience with everyone.
